Roaring 20s to help Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre raise funds for Children in Need
Flappers, the Charleston and cupcakes will greet visitors to Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre next Friday (16 November) as the team raise funds for Children in Need.
This year the team, who will be joined by Pudsey Bear, have decided to use the glamourous 1920s as their inspiration for fundraising and there will be a best dressed male and female competition, for all those working at the centre.
Visitors and patients can join in by taking part in a raffle and buying some of the special cupcakes made by the centres chefs.
Hospital director Steve Booker said: “Last year we rocked the 1980s. So, this year everyone is having to work doubly hard to out do themselves. I can guarantee there isn’t a feather boa, fake long string of pearls or baggy turned up trousers in any charity shop between Worksop and Chesterfield.”
